2023-2024 Basketball Season:

Varsity Basketball Update:

We have Varsity Girls and Boys teams. Coaches will provide additional information regarding tryouts, practice and the season.

Junior Varsity Basketball Update:

Due to the high number of students anticipated to try out for our JV basketball teams, we have decided to break up our JV teams, both girls and boys, into two teams. We will have a 6th grade JV girls team, 6th grade JV boys team, 5th grade JV girls team, and a 5th grade JV boys team.

We are now looking for coaches for our 5th grade teams. If you are interested in coaching, you must be VIRTUS trained and must complete a background check. Please contact Ellen Fletcher for more information about becoming certified to coach. Those that are already certified and cleared, please contact Mr. Morgenweck via email kmorgenweck@sjrs.org.

Our season will be starting in the beginning of January, so we are hoping to find our coaches soon. Throughout the season, both teams (5 th and 6 th graders) may be practicing together.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Morgenweck.

REMEMBER: Student athletes must have turned in all medical paperwork before they tryout. Please bring something to drink. Students must have transportation to and from school.

Everyone should have a registration packet. If you played another sport this year then most of the forms were already filled out by you. You still need to return the Opioid Form and Registration forms. If you did not play another sport this year then all forms need to be filled out and returned with registration fee.
