Thanks to All Who Participated in Book Fair

Thank you to all who participated in our “Paws For Books” Book Fair.  Reading is such an important part of a child’s growth.  And this year we managed to put 1900 books in the hands of our children.  Thanks to all who purchased, and a special thanks to the parents who volunteered and helped make the fair a success.

St. Joseph’s students joined tens of millions of students in over 180 countries in an Hour of Code.

The Hour of Code takes place every during Computer Science Education Week.  Our students are being introduced to coding this week but will continue broadening their knowledge through the rest of the year.

Computer Science gives students skills in problem solving, creativity and logic.  These are skills they will use throughout their lifetimes.

3rd Grade

Third graders will be introduced to many different genres of literature this
year.  During the course of the year, they will be assigned different genres that they need to read.   We will spend time in the library talking about the genre assigned and students will be given time to find a 3rd grade level book.
Please encourage your child to read every day!
