WE ARE IN THE HOME STRETCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grade 6:
** This week, we will review for our character quiz and for our FINAL ESPERANZA RISING TEST!!!!  There will be an OPTIONAL ZOOM on Tuesday to review the character chart and all study guides.  I STRONGLY RECOMMEND attending this review session BEFORE TAKING YOUR CHARACTER QUIZ.

I will also be available EVERY DAY and continue to offer my “Offer Hours” from 12:30-1:30.   “Office Hours” is when I open ZOOM for a certain time period (usually an hour) and keep it open so that the students can pop in and out as needed to ask questions. I will be happy to set up another time if any of my current Zoom times do not work for you.

**Objectives:
To analyze character based on how well they respond to challenges
To understand theme and cite text evidence and quotes to support your theme
To determine the dynamic character and cite text evidence to support how he/she changed over time
To create their own poem

WE ARE IN THE HOME STRETCH — LAST WEEK OF TESTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

** This week, we will take a character quiz on Tuesday and FINAL TEST on Thursday for TWELVE ANGRY MEN.   I will have an OPTIONAL ZOOM on Tuesday at 10:30 for anyone who wants a test review and to go over the character and evidence charts. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ATTENDING THIS ZOOM BEFORE TAKING THE CHARACTER QUIZ ON TUESDAY, 5/26.  TEST IS THURSDAY 5/28 — it will me multiple choice and short answer essays based on the evidence charts.

“Zoom Instruction” is my live instructional time — I am actually teaching or explaining something. It usually takes about 10-15 minutes.  I do not make ZOOM mandatory as I understand some students may not be available at that time.  However, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED you attend if you can make it.  If I am teaching a lesson, I will usually post a video of that lesson with the assignment on Edmodo for those students who cannot make the zoom or for those who need to go back to the lesson and review.  Instructional ZOOM time will be earlier in the day than the office hours.
