Dear Saint Joseph Regional School Families and Friends,
It has been a true blessing to have been chosen as your Principal. The preparations for our school year are off to a wonderful start. Our teachers and staff have been working diligently to be ready to bring best practices to the classroom for our eager and bright Saint Joseph students.
Teachers worked this summer to make revisions to our handbook, to our aftercare program, to our playground opportunities, to plan for our 60th Year Celebration, to create more after school activities and clubs and so much more.
We look forward to attending Mass at Saint Joseph church during this school year celebrated by our Father Jaromir Michalak and our new Vicar, Father Peter. Father Jaromir is well known by our students, faculty and staff as a wonderful asset to us. We know Father Peter will also be an important part of our school community.
We are looking for Aftercare Teachers for our newly organized and created aftercare program that will be known as The After the Bell Club (ABC). ABC has much more than just a new name! If you are interested in working from 2:30 to 5:30 one, two, three, four or even five days per week as an ABC teacher, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
First and foremost, you must know that the teachers and staff members at Saint Joseph are skilled, knowledgeable, dedicated and loving individuals. I have been so very impressed by how hard they work to implement our Diocesan Curriculum with state of the art methods and materials. Again, I am blessed to be working with them.
Remember that the best way I have to communicate with parents and guardians is through our email system. Please, be sure to access your email daily. Teachers also ask that you stay connected to their web pages.
It has always been my practice to be accessible. You will see me outside mornings and afternoons frequently, and you may email me at email@example.com or you may phone me at 609.927.2228 X 10. Also, our gracious administrative assistant, Mrs. Ellen Fletcher, is also available at our front office. She may be reached by phoning 609.927.2228 X 11 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are also very excited about our newly organized PTA Executive Board. Our co-presidents, Kristen Handel and Lauren Gunther, will be sharing some news very soon. The entire Board has worked this summer to come up with new and exiting ways to get YOU involved in PTA without attending long administrative type meetings…GUESS WHAT, they did it. More will be shared about how you can have some fun, meet new people, forge friendships for life and give your talents to help our students and our school continue to grow.
I want you to know that my goal is to continue to move our school in a forward direction as you have focused upon in the past.
Remember the Saint Joseph Regional School Annual Fund 2018-19: 60 Years Strong!
It is important to share with others in our community that tuition just does not cover all that we offer our students. Giving to our Annual Fund, no matter how small a donation, helps. If you know someone in or outside of our school community who may want to give to our Annual Fund, please do not hesitate to share.
It provides critical resources for educational materials, instructional equipment, and new technology.
In fact, every component of student life is enriched by the Saint Joseph Annual Fund. Your gift can be designated for a specific use or we will utilize it in allowing us to maintain a modern, state of the art school complete with interactive white boards, new computers, online instructional programs, updated textbooks, and wireless internet. These 21st Century amenities help us encourage students to question, seek understanding, and practice tolerance during formal instruction, discovery, and experiential activities.
Saint Joseph Regional School is well known for its impressive combination of learning about our faith and participating in ways to deepen our faith; academic excellence; and athletic achievement. The Annual Fund also helps provide the resources our student-athletes need to maintain our familiar championship standards and provide the modern facilities they deserve. For example, the Annual Fund helped provide the gym floor a few years ago and recently, two computer labs for our students.
In our 60 Years, we continue to move Always Forward in Christ.
We, as a school family, continue to face personal loss, and it does not get easier. Loss of anyone in our Saint Joseph family stays with each of us. We face it through our faith, through our compassion and actions toward each other. I see the relationships that are formed and grow out of these losses. We shall continue to be focused on each of us coming together as one family in Christ Jesus.
This year, we continue to be focused on school security and safety; upgrading our technology for teachers and students; as well as professional development for our teachers in both faith formation and teaching strategies.
The Saint Joseph Annual Fund also provides for the numerous educational experiences and service learning opportunities afforded to our students. Many of these programs and projects, both co-curricular and extra-curricular (like the greenhouse pepper project, the indigenous garden, and our clubs), help Saint Joseph Regional School students develop mature relationships with God, their neighbors, and the world around them.
Your gift to the Saint Joseph Annual Fund is a perfect demonstration of the true spirit of Christian charity. This year we are asking you to consider making a gift of at least $150.00. You can pay that weekly or monthly! Just know it will help no matter how small a donation.
Every gift, of any size, helps our Saint Joseph Regional School Community.
Please join me in supporting the Saint Joseph Annual Fund.
Again, do not hesitate to phone me at 609.927.2228 X 10 to ask questions or email me at email@example.com.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus Pray for each of us and for our families,
Janice DeCicco Fipp, Ed. D.
